"Man on a Mission"

Twenty-six-year old Aaron Bradley beams into the camera. He’s dressed up today: He’s on his first weekend excursion to the countryside. Instead of his usual California uniform of flip-flops, cargo shorts and faded tees, he’s sporting black slacks and a button-down. Next to him, a leathery-skinned Khmer man wearing an east-meets-west combo of krama and baseball cap tries the same. But his face expresses more curiosity than the joy of his companion. Bradley spotted the leathery man while traveling along a dirt road in the rural Preah Vihear province of Cambodia. He decided to stop and talk.

But Bradley does that.

“I love living, speaking and loving the unreached,” he says. By “unreached” he means the nearly 2.7 billion people worldwide he says have never heard of Jesus or Christianity. Spreading the gospel is Bradley’s passion. And he has a habit of talking to anyone who will listen.

Like the time Bradley began telling the cashier at a Denny’s about Jesus. Eventually, many of the waiters and waitresses gathered around to listen. Or the time Bradley used down time during a missed flight to preach the gospel to a stranger at his terminal. The man cried and said he felt touched by the Holy Spirit. Once, while working a garage sale, Bradley noticed a customer grabbing her back every time she bent over. He said he could sense she was a Christian and asked to pray for her back. “I was able to pray for her back and ask the Lord to graciously touch her back and heal it,” he wrote in his blog later that day. “We finished praying and she drove away. I look back and thank God for that woman—she glowed with the love of Jesus! I pray for God's continued touch on her back. What a blessing to pray and minister to her at my garage sale. Thank you, Jesus for that opportunity!”

In light of the intensity with which he throws himself into evangelizing, it’s hard to imagine there was a time Bradley was indifferent to God. But there was. Growing up in the 3,000-population city of Kelseyville in southwestern California, Bradley had more temporal interests. “He was a skater and he was really rather good,” his mother says, “But he never got into it professionally. He probably could have.” Instead of going pro, he joined the Navy.

But after a few years, he returned to California with a new goal. According to his mother, Bradley had been saved and had a new commitment to Christ. “When the Lord finally got hold of him, he gave him a passion,” she says. Bradley enrolled in Horizon College of San Diego, a school focused on training evangelists.

When Bradley graduated in 2007, he began praying, asking God to show him where to go next. In August of that year, he got his answer. “The Lord told him that’s where he wanted him to go,” his mother says of the decision. “Don’t ask me how, he didn’t tell me that, but the Lord told him.”

The location: Cambodia.

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. –Psalm 34:18

Cambodia is one of the poorest and least developed countries in the world. To find the source of its poverty, it’s necessary to look back to a day in 1975 when an army of adolescents and teenagers from Cambodia’s rural hill region marched in to Phnom Penh, the nation’s capitol. Armed with Chinese-supplied AK-47s and orders from a government they called Angka, the guerilla soldiers herded out the city’s inhabitants in just a few days.

These child soldiers were the Khmer Rouge. Their leader was the French-educated socialist Pol Pot. Pol Pot dreamt of a self-sufficient, ethnically pure Cambodian state supported by an agrarian workforce. And that meant everyone would work the rice fields. Cambodia’s cities became ghost towns as all the city dwellers were forced—on foot—to the countryside, prodded along by teenaged soldiers who promised Angka would take care of everything.

But once the people reached the rice fields, they quickly learned that Angka cared little for their wellbeing. The people worked and starved together in labor camps. Those with Western education—doctors, teachers, lawyers—were singled out for torture and execution in the notorious killing fields. Vietnamese immigrants as well as Christian and Muslim minorities were also singled out.

By the fall of the Khmer Rouge regime in 1979, 2 million Cambodians were dead.

The following decade was marked by the Vietnamese occupation of Cambodia. Cambodian independence came in 1953. But by that time, Cambodia, between the French, the Khmer Rouge and the Vietnamese, had been under foreign rule for 95 years.

The new constitutional monarchy was riddled with corruption from the start. The prime minister, Hun Sen, had been a member of the Khmer Rouge—deserting for the South Vietnamese liberation forces just before the Khmer Rouge’s fall. The figurehead king, Norodom Sihanouk, was a mainstay of Cambodian government. As were his policies of selling out the Cambodian people for political gain. The Khmer Rouge had purged the country of doctors and teachers. And more than 30 percent of the population was under the age of 18. There was virtually no workforce.

Today, the average annual income in Cambodia is less than $500. Only 41 percent of the population has access to clean water. And only 17 percent have access to adequate sanitation facilities. Eighty-eight percent of children under 5 will contract malaria. And in the sex trafficking capitol of the world, 30,000 children are sex slaves—some as young as 5 years old.

“Cambodia is a country torn from war, oppression, and mass genocide,” Bradley wrote in his blog that August. “A country that is considered unreached…out of 14 million people less than 5 percent are reached for Jesus! Millions have never heard of Jesus name. I am excited that the Lord has called me to share the gospel with these wonderful people who desperately need Jesus!”

And the gospel must first be preached to all nations. –Mark 13:10

In December 2007, Bradley left for a one-month trip to Cambodia. He had set up to work with a Christian orphanage in Poipet, a city near the Cambodia-Thailand border. In preparation, he had taken a several Khmer language lessons with an employee at a local Cambodia restaurant and raised money through garage sales and donations.

But as an evangelist, Bradley was up against tough odds. For starters, 98 percent of Cambodians are Theravada Buddhists—the state religion. And Christianity is hardly promoted. A complete Khmer-language Bible did not exist until 1954. And as Bradley wrote in his blog, “Millions have not even had the chance to hear Jesus’ name ONCE!” The government in Phnom Penh espouses religious freedom, but the veracity of that freedom has been questioned of late.

By law, all religious organizations in Cambodia must register with the Ministry of Cults and Religious Affairs and must obtain government approval in order to build schools or places of worship. In recent years, Christian organizations have complained that they have been denied registration without clear explanation as to why.

In June 2007, the Ministry of Cults and Religions reasserted their power over evangelism by reissuing the restrictions on proselytizing originally placed in 2003. The restrictions ban door-to-door activities, using loudspeakers, and the provision of material incentives as rewards for conversion.

Bradley also faced a frail Christian community. He describes the state of Christianity in Cambodia as “not very alive, divided, very immature. With all sorrow I say…in desperate need of revival!” But Bradley was optimistic and spent the month working in the orphanage and sharing the gospel. The work being done by other missionaries and the changes he saw in the Cambodian people had a powerful effect on Bradley.

“It truly was a remarkable time in which it also was a time where I saw the wretchedness of my sinful heart and a fresh new desperation for my savior, Jesus,” he wrote in his blog upon his return to California in January. “For example: The ‘I want it and I want it now’ mindset here in the U.S. doesn't go over very well there and being in that culture God allowed me to see my sin.”

Bradley prayed and fasted during the month of February, seeking guidance and where he should go and what he should do next.

He spent the next seven months as the overseer of evangelism at his church in San Diego. He also tutored kids, did yard work for those who were unable to do it themselves and provided care for the sick in his community. But he kept thinking about Cambodia.

And at the end of July, he went back. Indefinitely.

Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me…and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. –Matthew 10:37, 38

A Buddhist monk insists that Bradley take a picture of him reading and “sitting like a proper monk.” Bradley, the reading monk and seven of his companions, had already taken several smiling group photos. Draped in his orange robe, he places an open book on the desk in front of him then sits back on a platform and folds his hands, a slight smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. Bradley obliges and snaps two photos. His weekends are devoted to moments like these. “Excursions," as he calls them. Here, Bradley gets to know the soul of the Cambodian people. He attends services at upstart churches and dreams of one day planting his own. As always, he talks to anyone who will listen about Jesus. He is working toward creating a base for long-term ministry in the northern rural areas. During the week, Bradley studies Khmer at a school in Poipet.

The decision is not without its sacrifices. For instance, there are no In-N-Out restaurants in Cambodia, an issue of particular dismay to Bradley—though he once toyed with the idea of having hamburgers sent through the mail. And he can’t talk to his mom everyday. But she says he tries to call when he can. “It’s not every week, it’s just random. For sure at least once a month,” she says. “I watch him on Facebook and I read his blog.”

The consummate evangelizer, a strong online presence is a key aspect of Bradley’s work. “It’s just so people could keep track of him and feel to be a part of it,” his mother says, “So they know what he’s doing. There’s a lot of missionaries you don’t hear a lot about. This way it’s more personal and that is also his way of witnessing.”

Bradley’s Facebook group “Jesus in Cambodia” has 136 members from across the U.S. There’s one member from Uganda. People from 54 different countries— including Finland, the United Arab Emirates and Spain—have visited his blog to read about his hopes, dreams and day-to-day activities trying to spread the gospel in Southeast Asia.

And as long as there are people to hear the gospel, or to hear about his work, Bradley will keep doing what he’s doing. He believes he has as a two-fold, God-given mission in life: to build God’s kingdom as it says in John 15:8 and to get to know God on a personal level as it says Mark 3:14. He believes only God can determine how long he will stay in Cambodia.

“As long as God keeps me here—maybe one, two, three, five, 10, 20, 50 years—I don't know,” he says. “But just as Paul got his orders from headquarters and returned back to his home church when his mission was complete, so I will follow my Lord where ever he leads me.”

Dear Friends and Co-laborer in Jesus Christ!

We are excited to share with you briefly what were doing and what were going to be up to before we come back to San Diego, CA in a month. Elijah and I will each share a few words in this brief update. Are prayer is that He will encourage, strengthen, and inspire you to continue hard in your pursuit after the Lord Jesus Christ through this brief update. We are thankful for you all and we are so thankful for the incessant prayers of so many of you who lift us up and we can feel and sense those prayers!

"I want to extend my greetings to you with the joy of the Holy Spirit! I pray things are well with you as they are with Elijah and I. We are finishing up our khmer language studies and are saying goodbyes to friends here in the capital of Cambodia as well as the Preah Vihear Province. We are inspired by the Holy Spirit to "finish strong" this last month before our return to California. We are looking forward to spending extended time in Northern Cambodia, Preah Vihear Province in a little town called Kuleen and Tbeang Meanchey where we will be making preparations in Kuleen to return late 2009/early 2010. We appreciate all your dearly desired prayers and thank you for your generous gifts. Jesus Bless You all. "Dear Family, Friends, and Saints of the Lord,

Well, its been five months and we havwe one left. The Lord plans things, and in Cambodia I have learned to let go and let Him lead. This is not always the case but I will remain firm in my devotion to Jesus as He leads me through this chapter of my life. I have found that the Lord has established many fundamental relationships here, with brothers and sisters and also with those outside the Body of Christ. There is much fallow ground to be broken, and I know that Jesus will supply all thats needed to engage this country for the Kingdom. Your prayers as always have been vital in this ministry and we are blessed to have so many partners and co-laborers in the Gospel. Prayer I believe is the greater work. The Lord has answered prayers and spoken clearly to both Aaron and I concerning direction for our focus in the Northern Province of Preah Vihear. God be praised. Last but far from least, I want to continue to ask you all to seek a deeper walk with the Father and a life of absolute devotion to Jesus; He is the only way to the Father. We want to state that we are thankful to Him who is good to us and mankind! He loves the khmer people of Cambodia and He is really longsuffering and desires that they acknowledge, follow, and worship Him! He loves them! Continue To Pray for:

1.Spiritual Awakening of Cambodia.
2.Revival of the small existing church in Cambodia.
3a. Please target Kuleen Preah Vihear Province, Northern Cambodia in your prayers and
3b. Ask God to Open the Cambodian peoples Hearts to Jesus Christ.

We pray that you will grow tremendously in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Can I also say, continue to trust Him! Oh and a fitting reminder to worship the King with a heart of adoration flowing from greatfulness for His mercy shown to us! Well a final word to continue, persevere, fight, run, keep going ,and keep trusting Him who is faithful even when we are faithless by the empowering of His Spirit. Amen. See you all soon!

Feb. & Mar. 09 Cambodia Update - "...We Serve A God Who Answers Prayer..."

Dear Family, Friends, & Beloved Prayer Warriors -

Warm greetings to you from Elijah and Aaron all the way from Cambodia in South East Asia - we pray that this update finds you well and we invite you to read this brief summary of the last two months (Feb. & Mar.) Elijah & I both wrote a note to you all and we combined them together. Enjoy the update and we invite you to receive encouragement and be inspired by the Holy Spirit to keep serving Jesus Christ with your whole heart - give your all to the Lord in His service! I feel it is fitting to state once again the object of our service to the Master (which can never be exhausted!), "...to love the Lord our God with all your heart, with all your mind, with all your soul, and with all your strength; and to love our neighbor as yourself ." Let us love God with everything that we posses and as we pour ourselves out before the Lord in His service - He will continually fill us with His loving Spirit and others will be drawn to Him as our lives are overflowing with His love! Let us abide in Him and remember that He is with us always even to the end of the age!

"First of all I want to state that we serve a God who answers prayer, and who's love ,we can never exhaust. With that said, I want to thank all of you for the prayers and support, it has meant more to me then you will ever know. I have had the blessing to learn alot about faith due to alot of health problems in the last few months. But the Lord is sustaining me. There is so much work to be done in Cambodia, and the longer I'm here the more I see what needs to be done. The Lord is the only hope for this country. There is so much injustice here and so many people who are without any hope. They have been through so much in the last 40 years and now they still have to deal with a corrupt government. I know the Lord wants to show the people of Cambodia He has not forgotten them, and that His love for them is unending. God has been opening up many doors to meet what I feel are important contacts and people who will greatly benefit this ministry in the long term. I am excited for this. The Lord is always stretching and pruning me and these times never feel good but I'm grateful He cares. We serve a God who is Himself LOVE . I'm more then ever convinced that to understand and to know how to love we must know God above knowing all else. May the peace of the LORD fill you and keep you. "Dear Friends,
I am at a loss for words and am not sure how I want to start this update. The month of February & March were very trying for me - with sickness ( fevers, vomiting, back problems, muscle spasms, etc), miscommunication on my part (Its a tough learning lesson learning to lead and working through miscommunication - I am learning from the Lord Jesus and He has spoken, blessed, & helped me in 1 Peter 5:1-11). But I see going through trying times as a great thing (*James 1:2-4) yet it is not fun or comfortable but a necessary cost to count in following Jesus - as for me these trying times caused me to seek Him with all that I am and it created a fresh new hunger (*Matt. 5:6 & Psalm 119:2,10,34) and desperation for the King Jesus and His help! It reminded me that I am needy, weak, and helpless in and of myself(*Psalm 119:69-71,73-76,86-88, 107,114,116,117,145,146,153,173) and I'm always in need of Jesus and thankful for His invitation, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink" Yes! I am so thirsty and needy for my Savior!
Yet I am thinking of the fact of what God teaches that we are in Him, "...we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us."! Another thing, while being sick I was laid up and had time to think about alot of things, yet I am excited to relay the encouragement that the Holy Spirit desires to give you - "Keep going - don't give up but press in to Me." I want to encourage you with a reminder of an awesome truth - "God hears prayer and answers prayer." Continue in the faith and believe God - He will help you! Amen. In conclusion I would like to share some things the Lord has shown us about our next steps to take, and we invite you to pray with us and watch the Lord answers these prayers! He has led us to plan to move up to Northern Cambodia (Preah Vihear Province) fall of 2009/spring 2010 to begin work among the rural unreached. I would also like to mention that we are confident the Lord hears our prayers and answers our prayers despite of the uncertainties in this world or financial crises - He has called us to this work ("He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it. " *1Thess. 5:24) and He will supply! We are asking the Lord for - heavenly wisdom with these decisions, divine connections, and tangible resources:

Dear christian friends,

Here is the most current prayer requests that we have - we invite you to ask God with us! "Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you." Matt. 6:33 &

"My prayer to God for (*Cambodia) Isreal is that they may be saved." Romans 10:1

*Note: Elijah and I are studying the language during the week and on the weekends we are scouting out a province in Northern Cambodia where God has leading us to set up a base for long term ministry.

Here are some main prayer points to pray about:

That Elijah and I would be in love with Jesus Christ!

That God would help me and Elijah to learn the language.(*Also ask for prayer in learning to read & prayer for heavenly diligence with language studies. We eagerly desire to speak in the khmer language so we can preach Jesus to lost Cambodians!)

That God would show us where He wants to set up a base for long term ministry in Northern Cambodia - Preah Vihear province. (*Pray for our weekend "Excursions" for the month of March.)

That God would spiritually awaken and pour out His Spirit on the people of Cambodia.

That God would bring young Khmer men to assist us and to be future christian leaders in Cambodia.

Cambodians would be saved and discipled and that House Churches would be started/planted in the 6 months we're here.

A Word Of Inspiration For Christian Missions

Dear christian friends,
I pray that this note finds you well, my reason for writing is to inspire you for christian missions, to remind you that in unreached people groups in the world (*joshuaproject.net) approximately 2.72 billion people are poor lost souls, as we once were (*Matt. 9:12-13). I believe that God is asking His body, His church, His Bride to send out workers into this lost world - to go out in this dead and dieing world - to "Go for it!"
(*John 4:34-38 & Matt. 9:37,38)

Here is a challange that I believe the Lord of Glory wants to give His people:

Will you dedicate yourself to His service?

Will you dedicate yourself to the furtherance of His wonderful gospel?

Will you say "yes" to this wonderful call to service and "Go"? (*Matthew 28:18-20)

Those of you who are already devoted to the furtherance of the gospel, let this be an encouragment to you to keep going and step it up.

*May I share a wonderful quote from a pioneer missionary John Williams to the South Pacific, he said
while on furlow to England,

"I feel, still, that the work of christian missions is the greatest, noblest, and sublimest to which the energies of the human mind can be devoted. I think, christian friends, that no labor we can bestow, no sacrifice that we can make, no journeys that we can undertake are to great to be undertaken for the glorious purpose of illuminating the dark world with the light of the glorious gospel."

I pray that as the Spirit of God is working within you that you may do as He is asking of you and submit yourself afresh to His will and His kingdom. May He bless you as you say,"yes" to Him and go out in faith for the furtherance of His glorious gospel. May He be glorified and may His name and Kingdom be furthered!

Sharing In My Hometown - Thanksgiving

You can be apart of the Great Commission by being apart of a support team for a missionary, it's not just money thats needed! You are a part of the Body of Christ and you are important and needed! There are six main parts of a team : Logistics - phone calls, arrangements, emails, ect. Prayer - prayer team is of upmost importance! If you pray your qualified! Communication - team contact, helps with communicating to Church/supporters (prayer letters) , ect. Financial - Giving financially, or one who voices the missionaries needs. Moral - encouraging letters, emails, phone calls, puts together care packages, ect. Re-entry -- the whole team come around the missionary when he returns/furlough to give support as missionary may be dealing with culture shock, ect/ (see Serving as Senders ch.7 pg.135). As the Lord has called me to minister to the people of Cambodia. I am prayerfully gathering a support team, if you sense God is tugging on your heart to "be apart of the Great Commission" Pray about joining my team and what part of the team you would serve in. were threats of war between Thailand and Cambodia. People were leaving

the boarder city of Poipet to seek refuge elsewhere. It was an opportune time

to preach the gospel!

Hello everybody! Friends, family and my prayer warriors...by the way I covet your prayers!
I thoughts I'd update you about whats going on here with me in Cambodia. I have been making alot of friends , teaching english, getting really muddy(because almost all the roads are dirt and its rainy season), enjoying the kids at CHH, killing huge rattle snakes, teaching Bible studies, here in the border town of Poipet and I'm getting used to the sounds of the language and I'm learning new things about the culture - for example when kids ask me the some differences between the U.S. and Cambodia I say, "In the U.S. we eat part of a chicken and here in Cambodia you eat all of it and we eat bread alot... here in Cambodia you eat rice every meal!"

I want to share briefly about an exciting answer to prayer - as I was seeking the Lord as to weather or not He wanted me to go through a christian organization to serve long term in Cambodia... I got nothing... no answer. Yesterday one of my friends presented me with an opportunity to "go through" a christian organization that has the same ministry focus as God has given me,"Preach the gospel to the unreached..."I am excited about this and I thank you for your prayers and support! I am excited to tell you I am prayerfully planning my return next year as soon as March! J.B.Y.!!!Jesus Bless You!!!

I am getting ready to leave for Cambodia on the 27th from LAX airport in Los Angeles.
My layover will be in Tokyo then I will fly to Bangkok and take a bus to Poipet, Cambodia.
I will be primarily teaching english to the orphans at Christian Happy Homes Poipet using the Bible and serving in a general capacity as needed.
I am excited to go to back to Cambodia and take this next step to get established in Cambodia to do long term ministry - preaching and reaching out to the lost!

I Was Blessed To Be Able To Spend Time With My Family (My Mothers Health Is Very Poor) In Kelseyville - My Hometown In Northern California. I Was Asked To Speak With The High Schoolers In The Youth Group I Grew Up Going To. I Shared My Life Message - My Testimony+The One Message I Can Teach People From My Life, With The Kids. It Was A Very Powerful Time And The 20 Youth Were Deeply Touched! The Holy Spirit Keyed In On Depression And The Spirit Of Repentance Fell Upon The Kids! Praise You Jesus!!! I Shared Out Of Jeremiah 29:11-13 And I Was So Touched To Watch God So Gently Touch These Kids Hearts! Amen.

Hello My Family! Thank you all for your support in prayer, please continue. I wanted to let everyone know what I'm up to & give a brief update of what my next steps are for the future. To start I got back as of December 31st 2007 with direction from God to begin preperation - focusing on four main areas:
1)Learn The Language (Khmer).
2)Wait On God - Direction For Location/
Ministry In Cambodia -Though Prayer & Fasting.
3)Continue Studies/Memorization In Mark.
4)Meet W/ Believers - Pray & Encourage.
It has been great to be back here in San Diego, California yet I have seen great need and have been exposed to Gods heart for the lost people of Cambodia. Beieng adjusted back into the business the Lord has encouraged me to focus on the preparation He spoke to me and trust Him to provide. It has been awesome to see God faithfulness to His word! From getting a call from my previous employer telling me that they have my last check for a couple hundred dollars to doing my taxes and even from the Holy Spirit putting it on peoples hearts to help financially, it has been awesome to watch God work and I pray that God working in my life encourages you to step out in faith. Amen. There are three main ministries I am talking to about coming alongside them so I could use your prayer for that. I have prayerfully set a date of return - July 27th and before I depart I am currently planning alongside with my ministry team - A Get Together/Update to give you all the details... I am excited! Praise You Jesus!!!

I wanted to share with you my thoughts, experiences and just express myself. I am called by God to be obedient in fufilling His desire for the Great Commission, I recieved the call when I was at the Horizon School Of Evangelism last year. This last trip to Cambodia in December of 2007 was a stepping stone in which I learned alot about the people, culture, language & me. It truly was a remarkable time in which it also was a time where I saw the retchedness of my sinful heart...and a fresh new desperation for My Savior Jesus. For example: The "I want it and I want it now" mindset here in the U.S. doesn't go over very well there...and being in that culture God allowed me to see my sin. It was great being around so many children at the orphanages, I sure learned alot from them. They have the purest faith...they trust that at 5pm there will be food on the table & that they will be protected. I really enjoyed the children so much, just being with them with no agenda...except loving them and being with them (Mark 3:14a).
I currently exploring my "invitations" to serve in Cambodia, to initally get my foot in the door in the country. I traveled from the heart of the country Phnom Penh to the eastern boarder of Vietnam, to the seacoast in the south to the Thai boarder in the west...it was a trek! I met with some really awesome ministries: YWAM Battambang, Light House Church Phnom Penh, AOG Bible College in Phnom Penh, Local Pastor Discipleship in Svay Rieng, MMF Orphanage in Poipet, Church Planting in Poipet, CHO Ministries in Poipet. I saw corruption, prostitution, drugs, oppression, greed, power hunger, brokeness, hopelessness, spiritual deciet, the desperate need of Jesus! (1Cor.10:4 "For the weapons...are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds...")I am really looking forward to Feburary, I plan to set the month aside for prayer & fasting and lay the "serving invitations" & The Strongholds Of Cambodia down before His feet. I am excited to have you be a part of the ministry that God has entrusted to me. I Invite You To Join With Me In Prayer & Fasting!

Greetings from Phenom Penh - Reaching The Unreached

Greetings from Phenom Penh, Cambodia in the name of Jesus! As this trip is coming to a close, it has been such a privelage to see what God is doing here in unreached Cambodia ( *about 2% of 14 million reached) and to see God hand working. For example: when Dting's father was sick and couldn't get out of bed, two precious Cambodian believers Som and Rattana prayed for him and he began to walk around the following day and began to belive in Jesus...

Praise Jesus. I've been to see Gods hand working powerfully in eastern Cambodia as God has raised up 6 house churches through a man my age (Joel). I have covered much ground and I am headed south to spend the last couple of days praying and reflecting.

*I am looking forward to seeing you all and telling you more, upon my return!

1) To Be In Love With Jesus.
2) The Stronghold Of Buddism Would Be Torn Down.

I love you guys to start off! I'm well, how are you?

I'm here in Poipet, Cambodia on the boarder to Thailand and it is exciting for me to spend time at the orphanage here at Mercy Ministry Foundation (Rose Martinez's ministry/HSE Alumni). Today I joined the staff meeting and prayed with them and mentioned I turned 25 today, well after dinner they told me they wanted to show me something and I figured the kids were going to do a christmas song or skit but they prepared a surprise birthday party for me, what a blessing!

This evening I met this church planter Joel from whos reaching the unreached, he's a really neat guyJesus and I'm totally into what he's doing. PlLEASE PRAY for David who oversees the orphanage here, he is very sick and is planning to go to Bangkok for medical attention. THhank You! Jesus Bless You!!!

Please PRAY for me:

1) Be in Love with Jesus
2) Led By The Holy Spirit/Hear Him Clearly.
3) Spiritual Stronghold Broken in Orphans.

Friends and Family of Aaron Bradley,

Thank you for your patience in receiving this email update about Aaron's adventures in Cambodia. We will try to make it short but also include all the amazing stories of God's guidance.

11/29/07
The morning of Aaronís flight from LAX he and a few others stopped at Denny's for breakfast. Aaron was sharing the love of Christ with the cashier and he says that "many waiters and waitresses came to listen and I got to share the gospel with many."

Aaron realized at LAX that his ticket was for 12:30am not 12:30pm. Because of this misunderstanding God used Aaron to minister to a man named Wayne. Aaron says "We talked with him and prayed with him and the Holy Spirit touched him and he was in tears...it was beautiful to see my plans put to the side and to watch God touch this mans life."

Aaron was told by the ticket counter that there was room for him on a present flight. He sat next to a Vietnamese Christian woman; she has a Buddhist friend with a 26year old son dying of cancer (please pray for his healing). Before exiting the plane in South Korea the Christian woman gave Aaron some money that, unbeknownst to him, was the exact amount for that evenings stay in a hotel room. The next evening Aaron flew out for Cambodia.

Aaron writes Praise the Lord; He is awesome and faithful! He has been able to meet up with many contacts including a woman, Nora, from the Philippines. She has been laboring in Phnom Penh, Cambodia for almost 14 years. Aaron asks that you join him in praying for her. That she would ìbe refreshed anew by His love and filled with the Power of the Holy Spiritî. Nora invited Aaron to preach that next Sunday. Aaron was also trying to meet up with another contact, Samuth.

I now have travel partner who is going to translate for me on the one month trip to Cambodia in December!
God provided a plane ticket!
God provided a car to use until my departure!
God provided a VISA for me!
God has provided a good portion of funds!

Answered Prayer

I just moved to mission bay on Monday 9/3. Over the last few months I prayed for a rent free place to live- to save for my mission trip to Cambodia. Last month I went golfing with a friend Manny and his friend Micheal joined us. After we were finished golfing I went to the parking lot to say goodbye to Micheal, as I wished him off at his car he told me how God had spoke to him while we were golfing- to open up his house to help people. He gave me his card and the rest is history! Praise Jesus!!! ...Huh He's faithful...
1) I want to encourage you to engage God in prayer.
2) I also want to encourage you to take steps of faith, God will
meet your needs.

God's presence at the Cambodian Prayer Dinner was a blessing

The Cambodian Prayer Dinner was AWESOME!!!

God answered 2 prayer reguests of mine: 1) I asked that God's loving, powerful presence would bless the people that came.
2) I asked that I would speak God's heart.
God answered both! It was awesome...because He is awesome!!!

-The night went something like this. I arrived around 4:45pm at Mr. Bon's restaurant and grill, we set up at 5:30. My friend Jesse showed at 6:00pm and we walked and prayed together for the night. People started to arrive at 6:30pm and everyone hung out and talked. around 7pm I thanked people for coming, dinner was served at 7:30pm. After dinner we worshipped our King Jesus!!! I shared my heart about the people of Cambodia, the vision God has shared with me, and I gave people an opportunity to get involved in the great commission. Dave Izor spoke for a couple minutes out of the Word and prayed. We got together at our tables and prayed for the 9 prayer requests on my prayer letter, while Jesse did worship music in the background, my friend Dariea,Gary, and David prayed for me and God spoke into my life through them! I closed the night in prayer and thanked everyone again for coming. People hung out and mingled till about 11pm. It was AWSOME!!! God was thick in that place (His presence was Awesome!!!)

Proverbs 30:5 says, "Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in him."

commentary: Dear friend as we look at this verse we see that every single word from God is pure, perfect, trustworthy, holy, good, right, solid... oh how easily we forget that God is the ONLY one that is completely trustworthy! Stop and think about it, God has never told a lie!We put so much trust in our friends, some have lied hundreds of times. How do we value their word compared to God's? Cannot we trust God who does not lie? Friend lets examine our hearts now. Are we trusting God who feeds us, cloths us and ultimately sent Jesus to the cross so we can be foriven our sin. Today God loves you so much and He desires for you to whole heartedly put your trust afresh in Him . Lets allow Him to protect us today as we trust in Him!

The Unreached

Romans 15:20 says "I make it my aim to preach the gospel not where Christ was named lest I should build on another mans foundation."

-Here Apostle Paul is telling us that his aim or target was to preach/reach the people who haven't heard the gospel of Jesus Christ yet. I love it! I get a picture of an arrow aimed towards a specific target. 2.65 billion people... about a third of the population in the world are unreached. Just think about it, there are people out there like you and me who haven't gotten to hear Jesus name even once! There is a huge need... if the Lord Jesus is calling you to go... will you go? If the Lord Jesus is calling you to stay and support in
(prayer, finances, logistics, communication, re-entry, moral support...to name a few *see Great Comission article for more info.) Will you support as sender?
I would seriously ask you to stop what your doing and now... ask God what He would have you to do to... what part do you play in the Great Commission ( Jesus- "Go... and make disciples of all the nations...")? Now the really key question is what are you going to do about it now?

Learning Cambodian & An Answered Prayer

Hey everybody! I just had my 3rd Cambodian lesson today with Sok Leap a native Cambodian from the the Capitol of Phenom Phen. Over a month ago my friend Chris talked to a christian restaurant owner, Sang who is from Loas, but born in Cambodia. Chris got his phone number and gave it to me. I called him and I met with him that day and shared my heart to reach the people of Cambodia through itinerant preaching. It was a special time, we prayed for each other and the Lord deeply touched Sangs heart he began weeping...it so touched my heart to hear the rejoicing in Sang-that God is sending someone to poeple who need the Gospel. As we prayed for each other and the Spirit of the Lord was powerfully in our midst. Before I left the meeting that day Sang gave me a missionaries phone number, who I called and he gave me some contacts in Cambodia...PRAISE GOD! Sang also gave me one of his employees phone number Sok Leap- who is teaching me Cambodian...it is such a blessing! As I venture to go to Cambodia with the Lord Jesus pray that I could speak the language supernaturally! I am so happy to know where the Lord Jesus wants me to labor for Him! To know is such an answer to prayer, I had been praying about it for the past few years! PRAISE JESUS!!!

The Great Commission

Not everyone can go on the mission field...maybe you'd like to go but you just can't. You can pray about being apart of the Great Commission by being apart of a support team for a missionary, it's not just money thats needed! You are a part of the Body of Christ and you are important and needed! There are six main parts of a team : Logistics- phone calls, arrangements, emails, ect. Prayer- prayer team is of upmost importance! If you pray your qualified! Communication- team contact, helps with communicating to Church/supporters (prayer letters) , ect. Financial- Giving financially, or one who voices the missionaries needs
Moral- encouraging letters, emails, phone calls, puts together care packages, ect. Re-entry -- the whole team come around the missionary when he returns/furlough to give support as missionary may be dealing with culture shock, ect/ (see Serving as Senders ch.7 pg.135)

As the Lord has called me to minister to the people of Cambodia. I am prayerfully gathering a support team, if you sense God is tugging on your heart to "be apart of the Great Commission" Pray about joining my team and what part of the team you would serve in. Whats God's will for my life?

I beleive it is two fold:
1) according to John 15:8 "bear much fruit" or build God's kingdom.
2)according to Mark 3:14 "that they might be with him" to simply get to know God in a pure intimate romantic relationship.

-Seek Him today "Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness..."

commentary- Are focus needs to be gazing/fixed on jesus...walking in the Spirit by faith. You don't have to worry about you doing this or you getting that done because Jesus started it and
He's going to finish it. Dear Christian be ready to suffer as our
Lord and Master gave us a divine example. Will you serve someone today,will you not eat out today to support a missionary, will you look for opportunities to speak truth into peoples lives, will you... What is God speaking to you... Be encouraged,set aside sin that weighs you down today and BE with your Father who wants to reveal His intimate heart with you and fill you so full of love that it runs over in every part of your life.

About the country of Cambodia

Cambodia is a country in south east asia, neighbored by Vietnam, Loas, and Thaiand. The population is an estimated 14 million people, less than 5% are reached for Jesus. The average education level is 3rd grade and roughly 1/2 of the population is under the age of 25. The average income is 300 dollars a year, the country is the size of the state of Washington. The capitol city is Phenom phen, most of Cambodias missionaries minister in the capitol. During the communist reign of pol pot in 1975-1979 two-three million people were killed. All previous goverment workers were executed, anyone of intelligence was killed, many people starved to death, the country was forced to work the field to yeild crop in return to support the communist war. Many people endured being seperated from there family, having family members starve to death, having family executed, being forced to become communist soliders, being forced to work in labor camps. This country has fresh wounds, it was just over 30 years ago that this nation was rocked with dispare, hopelessness, tragedy, and so much death. The national religion is thereavada buddhism, in short leaves one with no real hope and is works based. This country has a desperate need for the gospel Jesus Christ! Millions have not even had the chance to hear Jesus name ONCE! Romans 15:20 "I make it my aim not to preach the gospel where Christ was named unless I should build on another mans foundation" Please pray for laborers to go and work the harvest cause its ripe!

Fruit sharing-- garage sale

Thanks to the Lord Jesus, the garage sale on 8/12 was awesome! Many things were sold, money was raised for the trip to Cambodia, and people were ministered too! One short testimony: one woman was looking around at things as I was talking to her, each time she would bend down to look at something she would grab her back and exclaim her back was hurting,I could see she was in extreme pain. As we kept talking she bought a couple things. I knew she was a christian because I could sense the Spirit in her. I asked her is she was a christian and she said "yes". I was able to pray for her back and ask the Lord to graciously touch her back and heal it. We finished praying and she drove away. I look back and thank God for that women... she glowed with the love of Jesus! I pray for God's continued touch on her back. What a blessing to pray and minister to her at my garage sale. Thank You Jesus for that opportunity! Thank you for your prayers because it wouldn't have been fruitful without them!

Preparation for trip to Cambodia

I am in preparation for a trip to Cambodia this December for one month. Cambodia is a country torn from war, oppresion, and mass genocide. A country that is considered unreached (seejoshuaproject.com) out of 14 million people less than 5% are reached for Jesus! Millions have never heard of Jesus name. I am excited that the Lord has called me to share the gospel with these wonderful people who desperatly need Jesus!

As of today I am about 3 and 1/2 months from my departure. There are many things I am praying for and I welcome you to pray with me, here are some things to pray for:
1)to know the heart of God/ for Cambodia
2)To be full of the Holy Spirit/ led by the Spirit
3)Build relationships with contacts & Cambodians
4)A traveling partner/ VISA
5)Finances needed- $2,307
6)A heart of intercession for the people
7)For a ministry support team stateside-- logistical, communication, prayer, financial, moral, and re-entry.
9) I'm in the process of applying for missionary status
10) Backpacking backpack, digital camera,

I am excited as I'm stepping into the next chapter of my walk with Jesus! I welcome you to be apart of what God is dooing in my life!
